DAY 6

Let's start off with probably the most important moment of the day: Peter Copping's debut as Oscar De La Renta's creative director. For his first collection he stayed true to the house's signature chic style; Using settle motifs and colours while mixing up classic fabrics and textures he created an ultra-feminine, wearable collection. Beauty-wise, we saw peachy fresh complections and chiseled cheeckbones, what is there not to love? With dewy faces the models at the Rodarte show walked proudly wearing pieces with a different edge. Leather mixed with ruffles and lace to create a preppy-girl-gone-bad look. WE LOVED the asymetrical leather skirts.

Vera Wang's collection was probably one of my favourites. Loose, minimal lines, black and white, androgyne with a hint of an embelishment at the very end; In other words simple but effective. Melbostad's collection for Diesel Black and Gold was simply amazing and indeed very black. With a powerful androgynous femininity emphasized by the hints of lace peaking out of the biker outfits, this collection was unique raw and  sexy,in its own odd way.

Marc by Marc Jacobs collections was certainly something else. It was different hinting messages based on Girl Power, mixing up a LOT of prints an in general being sexy and feminine in its own way. On a different note, the Tory Burch collection for this fall was inspired by Moroccan based interior design featuring a lot of silk among the various different textures and prints.

Last but not least we have Badgley Mischka's runway where we appreciated the amazing gold embelishments, the mixture of daytime, evening & red carpet appropriate outfits. The colours were perfectly fitted to this kind of occasions along with the styling with the buffant hairstyles and the graphic liners.

... Let's give some credit to the street styler's though, because they're still being stylish flashing their chic outwear even though it's LITERALLY (we said it) freezing in New York right now.
